Puglia has traditionally been a summer holiday destination for northern Italians, but is now becoming steadily more popular with visitors from the UK and the rest of Europe. As a consequence, property within Puglia remains highly affordable, with properties selling at around half of the prices of similar sized homes in Tuscany and Umbria.

The Puglian property market would appear to represent an excellent investment opportunity since Ryanair and British Airways are now offering direct flights from the UK into the region’s two major airports (Bari and Brindisi). This will stimulate the overseas owner market and property price inflation will be inevitable.
